once you become a raider you can speak to one of those dirty bustards in their north base. Lets say that his name is Szpont. He can provide you with very interesting informations, but he will speak only if your karma is high enough. If it is, you should speak to him often, cause sometimes he can give you a great rumour. He can provide you with a different story, my first proposition is:
-Szpont tells you that there will be a big FLC money transfer between BH and NCR. He also tells when and where they are going to make trap. Thanks to those info you will be able to see a new location, but only for few ingame hours (lets say 30 min IRT). If you will enter this location you have to be prepared for a big battle with convoy guards.
+ if you are a slaver you can speak to Metzger, before the battle. You can make a deal with him, he will give you few slaves for a purpose of this battle but he wants 30% of your reward.
+same rumor can be heard by different players, so you can meet other players in same location.
as a reward you can collect mostly cash$$$ and loot from convoy guards
