How do I join the raiders? and possible bug

Have you talked with Metzger? Dialog about how sick you are how those people are following you and how much you want a different job? Then he will send you to a man inside the bar. Then you must play a tough guy and then you will know the location of souther raider base.

ok, thanks well, i spoke to stokes, acted like a tough guy an he fkin started shooting me.  i just burst him and ran away .. start a new sg character? or will stokes respawn?

Hey man, it's me.  I'd have to double check, but you may need to leave our gang first before starting on the raider quest.  Not sure though.
And yeah, he'll respawn.

Sup mate, ill get the location of the raider base, then head to ours to leave it - btw, I went to speak to stokes again an the f*cker killed me! Then spoke to him again, an the dialog option that dosnt lead to him shooting me only leads to him saying 'Yeah, Why?' sigh*

My karma also says raiders -200 and slavers 150, is this why stokes wont speak to me? if so, how do I increase my karma with the raiders?
