And yes, I agree, the feauture is fine, unfortunately there are still few encounters which net you "free" loot.

Maybe when you look in the body they'll say leave this stuff and you might notice this in your log or out of the corner of your eye saving you from getting assraped like most newbies do, too many newbies die because of this causing problems.  taking or attempting to look in the inventory again would cause them to become hostile.  they should push you away from body btw on first attempt at looking in it.

So yes it makes a big difference....

New guy witnesses his first encounter where two parties are fighting each other. Out of curiousity, they go to one of the corpses.

They don't know they aren't allowed, by the NPC guards, not to loot. But the NPCs become hostile as soon as he touches the body, not actually even taking anything in it.

It should be that when the body is clicked, they say "Leave this stuff!", and only if you actually take something do they become hostile. It doesn't even make sense for them to give the warning if they automatically become hostile.

It wouldn't be a solution to encounters such as "NCR Army vs Remnants of Master's Army", but I wasn't talking about that.

Ah, now I get what you mean. Yes, this is indeed a better way to design it and apparently not hard to make.
Agreed. :)

I think the feature is fine. however what I hate is when you kill an opponent and the other party goes beserk when you loot your own kill. Thats something that needs tweaking.
