Also, how do you mine ore? Or where can you?

Lacan:
you mine ore by using a sledgehammer on piles of rocks in mining sites. Mining sites are little locations near NCR, Junktown, SF i think too, Gecko, also inside BH and Redding.

you can equip sledge and switch to ''use on'' mode or hold click on the stones and use the sledge from your backpack :)
