What's up with these roll backs?

I make a set of metal armor and several weapons and 20 min later the game shuts down. I log back on, my armor/guns are no longer there and my mats are still gone. wtf?

Grey Fox:
not as bad when the server would roll back after people lvled. their skill points where gone but they still lvled. losing mats is fucked tho :(
