caravan cars brahmin still +1?

ok so if you buy a caravan car with a brahmin +fuel/water and get youre caravan....

is that brahmin still a companyon in youre party list?
like if you had that brahimin and anuther merc would you be able to get anuther merc or is youre party still full with the brahimn... ?
