"game is fixed" thank yous!!!! ^_^

my game has updated to full, ready to play. play button, launches screen, then goes away. it laoded first time, then i updated it and it dosent wana load. darn

IMPORTANT:
Run the updater to receive new files and delete the file named 94.23.237.127.2238.cache in the data folder.
In the FOnline.cfg file, find the line "PatchDatPath=fonline.dat" and change it to "PatchDatPath=faction.zip".
DAT files entered deprecation stage, whenever a .zip file with the same name is downloaded, the corresponding .dat can be deleted. In addition, fonline.dat is deprecated.

It'll sometimes contain useful information about what you have to do

..ok, i think that might fix it, need to reinstal, one question- is the instal destination to look like this "C:\Users\NAME\Desktop\FOnline"

i thought i seen the 94.23.237.127.2238.cache  in the folder last time i was browsing it but i uninstaled and reinstaled a few times. so now its not their. i dono."-edit*

ok so, i did find the cache file, and deleated it. it was in desktop folder. @_@

If you are trying to install on a computer running Vista or Windows 7, you have to run the install program as Administrator and the Launcher.  The launcher can be set in it's properties to start as administrator every time.

ok... so is the dat file you are refering to, called "FONLINE.DAT" if so, do i just rename it?
i also see fonline001/ and 002.
the FOnline.cfg is in the main folder as a blank page icon file also unable to open file or look around into file.. so i was thinking that you was refering to the dat files beneath it.. ?

PS: i am not understanding how to change the dat to zip or what files to change exactly.
please help. thanks.

Try to open the FOnline.cfg with "Notepad". I'm sure devs will make it easier and automatic in the next update, I hope.
