Officialy there is no racism so kttdestroyer is partially right. Even Marcus claims that there is no racism, all is hidden and only outsider can find out the truth if he digs deep enough. Only after exposing the true nature of Broken Hills Marcus will consider joining Chosen One.

Gatling:
Actually I think it has to do with the timeline.  This is how things were before the Chosen One showed up, where the violence was beginning to come to a head.  He arrived, as typically the protagonist does, at a critical time of the town.  I'm not really sure how the dialog describes it in 2238, I am rarely in BH, but it should be convey that the town may exist together only at the charisma of its leader and what little goodwill exists between the three peoples, which might be conceivably from only a few.  That is, if it is conveyed at all very obviously.  I'm sure a violent town of Humans, Ghouls and Muties would not be adverse to making nosy people disappear.

kttdestroyer:
Ah yes, i mean, there is racism, i remember that from ingame, allthough probobly not went as far as RJ (or probobly did, but dont remember). However, what i meant is, if in BH racism is rampant, what do one can say about other towns of the fallout world like VC? which is all out racist?

Its like saying, that in nazi germany there was no racism. When the whole gaverment was all out racist. I understand the description is aiming towards the deeper things inside the BH town, however, the idea of the town and goal of its representant (Marcus) is tolerance as far i am concerned. Meaning, the town itself is not racist, even if some people inside the town can be racist the town representants areint, can the town be then called "rampant racism is present"? when in comparence, the tolerance is in a lot higher amount then in towns like for exemple VC.

Gatling:
Outright racist hostility can be seen as a symptom of its greater problems maybe.  The people there present in the town is angry with one another, frustrated, which is coming out in simple bigoted hatred.  And the other places might not be entirely so hostile on the topic because they have already polarized into locations catering to specific individuals, like Gecko has with its ghouls.  There isnt hostility in that same way there because they Are all one people and more or less united, as BH will be maybe in 2238s future. Really how that goes now is left up to the devs considering that 2238 seems to be following a timeline which has Diverged.

Slaver Snipe:
The things is racism although it may not be as prevalent in BH as in VC you would see it more in BH because there are several races living there whereas there is only the humans living in VC, the racism won't be apparent if the other races are not living in the same town as you (granted you can see some VC and Ghouls going at it in encounters but that doesnt count  ;D )
