If I encountered the chosen one I would do my best to help them on their way, though I would be doubtful they could complete all of their objectives before being PK'd for lolz.

Well good for you, that would be a lot more interesting. I would do the same. In fact, maybe instead of finding the Chosen in a random encounter, there might be random "minievents" in which you can help the Chosen do something. Maybe if you help him you get some kind of reward after some time? or a nice amount of XP?

Then the wasteland is allowed to leave scars on you and if it did, it's gonna leave very very big scars. But even then wasteland would turn into a mess of scar tissue after one hour.

--- Quote from: maszrum on October 19, 2010, 11:20:29 AM ---there is no goal.. you cant change anything becouse that may affect of fallout timeline
whole idea of year 2238 is just boring in my opinion, we are to limited to do something and change game world a little

That's because players think they rule the wasteland, they don't npc factions do. Besides everyone saw what happened when ncr turned to unsafe town: it turned into chaotic warzone instantly. Until we got features that encourage players to uphold peace but also strive for something in orderly way, no more freedom to change the world should be given to them.

Except if it takes very very long time and if it involves many players to do such scars.

Or other possibilty=> regions domination by original fallout factions (helped by players): for instance, whenever The Master (or The Enclave, or BOS, or NCR, or raiders...) followers dominate all the regions=> game over => reset server  ;D
Of course those regions domination should take a very very long time to be fullfilled...

Hey I didn't say scars are bad, it's just the kind of scars players like to inflict right now are pretty much only death and destruction.

Only when Big pk gangs jumped in, people like me would attempt to organize a Gaurd force to protect the town, but of course they were coming in friggin BA,Avenger, etc, and all we had were LAmk2, MAs and the highest tier gun would be a Assault rifle...  No roleplay for the wicked eh?   :P
