Make sure you got the host as fonline.dyndns.org
If you still have that problem, join our irc channel and ill help you faster.
Sometimes it happens to me, (im not the host guy) the solution is using an alternative ip instead of fonline.dyndns.org.

If this happens to someone else, talk to me :)

So, it works?
For the install is F2 MASTER.DAT and CRITTER.DAT needed?

Hmm.. no alting.. i should test it then :)

there is alting, in fact its easier than 2238 (no re-log cool-down) because the only way to get into your house (yes, your house :) is to have an alt waiting inside to open the door for you at this stage, however most of the reasons we have for alting in 2238 are obsolete here.

So, it works?
For the install is F2 MASTER.DAT and CRITTER.DAT needed?

it does work and you do need the .DAT files, but you can just link to the same ones you use for 2238 and or FO2.

on a side note I just discovered that there is a town devoid of NPC's which is entirely designed for players to control. Need more people!
Also this server doesn't come with the the same level of commitment that you have probably come to expect from 2238. You can level to 21 in a matter of hours especially when raiding NPC bases
