Merc won't be happy if you're sadistically hitting them

If you attack your own merc 2 or 3 times in a row for some short period of time they are saying good bye to you and turning hostile, if it was in guarded town, that last attack (2nd or 3rd or whatever) will make you lose protection and cause guards to help mercs to kill you. In like minute after that merc will simply disappear. Prolly it may affect only direct attacks, if your merc(s) was exploded or cought by burst directed not to him/them or hit by "oops", they won't go crazy, because it can be an accident during combat.
This will stop killing poor low HP bluesuiters in NCR by "oops" and stupid beating mercs like if you were sadist and they were animals.
Oh, this will also affect slaves.

While I agree that mercs should not be happy about being abused, slaves are a different story. I mean, they're slaves...they're property. Although I really can't understand why 5 slaves armed with guns just simply don't kill their master is beyond me...

Another benefit with mercs/slaves leaving after being abused is less options for FA boting.

Slaves revolt from time to time anyway. Most realistic bug i've seen so far. And slaves are 'broken', so they can't just go and kill that menacing guy, especially if they don't have much ammo and even less HP.

Hey, i know! Lets arm a merc/slave with a ROCKET LAUNCHER and shoot him while next to some Bluesuits.

+1 for reality, -2 for it will never be the same  :'(


P.S On another note, what about Town Militia? Don't kill them too!

For slaves: what about them turning hostile after a bit more hit, but will stop if you use a new rope on them (no need to to knock them down).

reworked follower system will require mercs to keep slaves in line right? i.e. hired guns = more muscle to keep slaves under control.

else you might expect some revolts from them if it is just you (not that this would be implemented but im just saying)

I support the idea to have mercs and slaves rebel if they are hit by people to much, same with militia, but if it effects militia, you should be able to "fire" them. and rehire more.

Noone cares about realism, so you can ignore this reason.

What? How this suggestion affects mercs with RL, nade miniguns and other weapon? No effect from this suggestion.

Mercs, slaves, this suggestion was created only to stop "oops" in NCR, if slaves and mercs will have separate effects, then everyone will use the worst for them effect to continue abusing.
If rope will do it again allied with me, then I'll have to carry alot ropes with me when abusing them in NCR.

Me too, but those bluesuiters are unhappy when I killing them with this metod.
Some smart GM may ask:
"Why don't you simply stop doing that?"
My answer will be:
"Why should I, when it brings me alot fun? ^_^"

So the suggestion is pretty much wrong. It's easier, more effective, and less painful to make NCR guards shoot you if you shoot your mercs (why would they tolerate it more than shooting players anyway)..

If you attack militia- you are an enemy of the town.

They should all turn on you.

I agree with this they should became hostile if attacked no matter who does it they shouldn't smile when we shoot them. Also I think mercs should demand payment on regular basis and raise the pay for each friendly fire after all they are mercenaries not loyal followers. About slaves how about making it that as a slaver the player need to hire another slaver to keep the slaves in line, either at tent or city and if player is almost dead then they should try to rebel (stoping it after getting hit). Players who aren't slavers shouldn't need a hired slaver to keep their slaves since they are happy that they no longer with that slaver bastard who beat them abused and terrorized them still if they get shot by the player they should rebel too. (I feel implementing this would be too complicated but I think it would look interesting)
