I like this idea; reactivate skill books but make it so that they're only usable at level 24, that you can only use ONE at a time for a single skill, and that it gives you a 60% bonus. Make it so you can purchase these books from library; but once you die, you have to purchase another one.

A skill book would act something like the way stealth boy gives you a bonus to sneak, only it could be used for other skills. Or perhaps, call it a lvl 24 graduation diploma instead.

I think temporary skill bonus from books would be better.

or just add random possibility to gain %'s of skills. like 1-5% (depending on char luck) but permanently! also only like 10% of books could teach you something since "you wouldnt find anything interesting" in rest. i think its cool idea

so, 10% of books can teach you something and you get 1-5% skill permanently. this would prevent alting i believe

It might reduce alting and give a new item to hoard, providing more things to do.

But sure as hell wouldn't prevent alting.

That book concept is pretty neat, why not. The small chance to raise some skill upon "consuming" a book, put some cap on the limit possible to reach and it's fine.

The russian servers you can consume books to get skills up to 90% but then after that they don't work like original game.

This isn't bad idea, but I go along with jovanka that it should be like taking a drug 30 minutes of +10 lockpick for example. But I don't know I am kind of confortable with the way books are now just collectables to make the shelves look pretty in our bases.

Make it a reward for those players that reach 1 million xp points on an alt. Alt auto consumes book and u have 60 SP to spend?

Read before post.
Book bound to character, no alting for get book.

Make faction based (VS/BOS/ETC.) requirement for lvl up after 21.
Then when you get 24 your faction leader support you by 1 faction bound (unique for each faction) character bound book.
NO
WHY ?
if no bound - take 20 books to main character and 300/300/300 all skills ?

Characters can have a local variable "book bonus taken". Bounding the book to the
characters wouldn't really change anything, because players would read the book
as soon as possible anyway.

The idea seems a bit pointless to me, why not simply give 60 extra skill points on level 24.
But the real question is, why give it at all?

Reason was - why not ? Just add more content to game. I m not against fonline, i m against low amount of quests/items/activity amount in game.

Is it possible ?

But if it's item that *always* appears on level 24 and player will read it as soon as possible
(because it's bound to character anyway, so there is no reason to not read it ASAP)
it's like no content at all. It's just equivalent of getting extra 60 skill points on level 24.

Exactly, but you have to read 1 item instead of just spend this 60sp without using book. Remind how much items is in FOnline, and alot of them is useless.

It's just 2 click to read it, I think it's not an interesting activity to click an item that is
guaranteed to appear on specific level, so why make simple things more complicated.
You could just as well get 60 skill points without any book.

If books could be traded and worked temporarily as bonuses, I think it would add more
to the game than one time bonus item that is equivalent of just changing skill points
formula on level 24.
